Jazz has been part of my life since I was 20, shaping the way I listen to and feel music. About 15 years ago, I began playing jazz seriously on bass, diving into its grooves, harmonies, and improvisational spirit. Back then, playing jazz on piano felt far too complicated for me, the chords, voicings, and independence required were overwhelming.

Everything changed after I moved to Las Vegas two years ago. Inspired by the vibrant music scene, I slowly began exploring jazz on piano, learning step by step and enjoying the challenge.

I was fortunate to perform at Maxan Jazz Club alongside two experienced jazz musicians, Keegan and Nik. It was an incredible experience, and we were especially honored to accompany Nita Hathaway in her jazz performance. Sharing the stage, creating spontaneous musical moments, and feeling the energy of the audience made it truly unforgettable. 

Wanting to buy a new set of bass strings, I stopped by Guitar Center at Town Square in Las Vegas earlier this afternoon. While browsing, I noticed a demo drum kit sitting there unused, almost inviting me to give it a try. I couldn’t resist.

The electronic drum set turned out to be seriously impressive, highly responsive, with pads that felt natural and dynamic under my hands. Every strike translated beautifully through the sound system, delivering crisp tones and a powerful, well-balanced output. The overall sound was clean, punchy, and incredibly satisfying to play.

What started as a quick stop for bass strings turned into a fun and spontaneous mini jam session. Totally worth it, absolutely satisfying and awesome!

Known for its unique design, the park is built from repurposed shipping containers and has become one of downtown Las Vegas’s most creative gathering spots. It features live music, restaurants, boutique shops, and an open-air stage that often hosts local performers. The relaxed atmosphere and artistic setting make it a favorite place for musicians and visitors alike. That evening, the jazz grooves blended perfectly with the vibrant energy of the park, creating a memorable musical moment for everyone there. 🎶
